Share the Love….

Our daughter is almost finished with her second year at Children’s Garden. It has been such a magical place to have her spend her first experiences in education — the teachers breathe love and creativity in to every iota of Children’s Garden’s curriculum and it shows with the joy seen and felt by each of its’ students. A Children’s Garden lower school is on my wish list.

I tell everyone how much we love the Children’s Garden. It’s such a loving and nurturing environment for little preschoolers. The school itself is adorable and every corner of the space is thoughtfully set up for little ones to play and learn. I’m constantly impressed with the level of creativity and enthusiasm the teachers bring to the classroom every day. I’m also impressed with the projects the students bring home. Each activity or craft is so imaginative and engaging for the kids. Every day at the Children’s Garden is truly special!

We could not be happier with our decision to send Miles to Children’s Garden. All four teachers are top-notch and have such skill in understanding and meeting each child’s individual needs. We have been so impressed and grateful for Ms. Shannon’s open communication and collaboration in finding ways to help Miles feel comfortable and connected at school. It brings us such joy to hear him excitedly recounting his time with friends and teachers. The focus on art and play has brought out his creativity. The daily yoga practice has been wonderful and he will lead us in exercises and use breathing as a tool for calming his body. It is such a comfort to know that Miles will have all of his teachers to nurture and teach him for another year and we are excited to send Wesley when he is three!

My daughter is constantly beginning stories about her day at The Children’s Garden with “one of my teachers helped me.” The ratio of teachers to students is amazing — my daughter gets so much support! She is a shy kid and I was nervous about how comfortable she would be. It was clear from day one that there is a team of teachers looking out for her: teaching her new things, helping her with everything and encouraging her to grow. We adore this place.

Children’s Garden truly is the perfect name for this astounding school where children are encouraged to be KIDS. They play, create, grow, and flourish in an environment where being able to be a KID is the most important thing. 

When I was researching where to send my children for preschool (and I DID my research), I stepped into this place and the children were doing yoga in a circle, under huge windows, with color everywhere and light streaming in. Louis Armstrong’s “what a wonderful world” was playing, and I knew in my gut that this sweet little place was the best for US. Low pressure, no fanfare, everyone is welcome. 

My children have grown into confident, bright, and KIND kids through this exceptionally special place. The teachers are so gifted and vetted by the director, and the families who attend here have become my tribe. 

I love you Children’s Garden. Thank for for “SEEING” my kids and for providing this path for our family.
